Salves and Supportbook join forces to provide an integrated test solution

Salves, the test consultancy and test automation specialist based in Helvoirt, has acquired the test management platform Supportbook. Following the acquisition, Supportbook will continue to operate under its own brand name. Management and employees are involved in the acquisition, ensuring continued support and development of the software.

Supportbook’s strong track record in the healthcare market fits well with the activities of Salves’ Test Services Healthcare division. The acquisition offers significant opportunities and many benefits for customers in the healthcare market. Salves’ test automation solution is already linked to Supportbook and after the acquisition there will be one integrated solution for all testing activities.

Ewout Kuijer, Director of Supportbook, talks enthusiastically about the acquisition: “Together we are stronger, we can benefit from each other’s expertise and thus serve our customers even better.”

Growth opportunities in different markets

The collaboration between Supportbook and Salves also provides growth opportunities beyond the healthcare sector. Supportbook is the tool for test management. It facilitates progression and regression testing with an intuitive workflow. The platform can be used for both project and maintenance situations and is a perfect fit for Salves’ activities, as Salves’ consultants focus on test management and the improvement of the test maturity of clients on a daily basis.

Synergetic benefits in the healthcare market

“Many of our clients already use Supportbook,” adds Boris Corvers, Director of Test Services Healthcare at Salves. “We generally share similar client profiles.” Corvers explains that Test Services Healthcare not only provides test consultancy services, but also offers test automation solutions, such as the Salves TestBot for HiX and Glims. “The integration of Supportbook will result in significant synergies in that area”.

Salves consultants guide the testing process during projects and the TestBot automatically tests releases after going live. Supportbook facilitates a structured testing and acceptance process in all phases. Corvers: “In this way our services cover the entire testing and distribution process of all software changes in hospitals, before we put a quality stamp on it”.

Kuijer also sees great benefits: “By letting Supportbook’s developers benefit from the market knowledge of Salves’ team of more than 100 consultants will make the product even better. I am very enthusiastic about the acquisition and look forward to a collaborative partnership.”

The acquisition of Supportbook by Salves has no impact on customers. Kuijer: “We will continue to operate under the Supportbook name, and all employees will remain involved.”
